- Guide - how to edit FLV videos FREE
Moyea FLV Editor Lite is a useful tool with which you are able to edit any FLV files with your great ideas.
This guide is to tell you the way to edit FLV with Moyea FLV Editor Lite free.
Please click here to download and install the program. Launching it, you will see the following interface.

- Input FLV
This clean freeware enables you to import FLV encoded with H.264, H.263, Flash 8, and Flash 8 with alpha.
The following buttons give you easy way to input FLV to the editor.

Import FLV: You can import as many FLV files at one time from My Computer to Resource List. The previous input FLV files will not be replaced.
Import FLV (from Media Library): You will open the Media Library of Moyea YouTube FLV Downloader to import FLV files you downloaded. Still, you can import multiple FLV files to Resource List.
Import (from IE Cache): You will launch the IE Cache import window. All FLV videos in your IE cache will be shown. You can check multiple FLV files here and import the FLVs to Resource List.
Import MP3: You are even able to import and edit MP3 audio files. It enables you to make your own MTV.
Import with right-click menu on Resource List: Right click on Resource list, you can import FLV/MP3, delete selected FLV/MP3, clear all FLV/MP3 on Resource List, or find target of the selected FLV/ MP3.

Note: For Lite version, at most 5 files can be imported to Resource List at one time, in which only a single MP3 can be imported.
- Preview FLV
From Resource List: Once the FLV files are imported to resource list, you can double click an FLV on the list to play.
From Timeline: To play FLV on Timeline, you can click the play button on Preview pane.

- Edit FLV
To edit FLV, you just need to drag the specific FLV file or files to Timeline. With the buttons on Timeline Toolbar, you can edit FLVs freely.

Link: Select the unlinked FLV video and audio with the help of "Ctrl" on keyboard, you can link and move them together.
Unlink: By clicking this button, you can rip video and audio of a selected FLV file on Timeline.
Scissor: Drag the pointer to the right time point and you can cut the clip.
Delete: You can delete any selected part on Timeline, video, audio, or the whole FLV file.
Clear: Click the clear button and you can clear all clips on Timeline.
Undo: Click to resume your previous action on Timeline.
Redo: Click to redo the action which you just resumed by Undo option.
MetaData: Clicking on this button, you can enable the MetaData tab, and add detailed information to the clips on Timeline.
CuePoint: Click to enable Cue Point tab. You can add up to 2 cue points with Lite version.
Short-cut keys:
Select a clip on Timeline and you can use short-cut keys to edit more precisely.
Ctrl + A to select all;
Ctrl + Z to undo or redo;
Ctrl + left/right to move the clip;
Ctrl + click on clip to select or deselect multiple clips on Timeline. And then you can move them together.
Right-click menu:
You can also right click on the Timeline and select different options to edit FLV clips.

Insert: You can insert single FLV or MP3 file to Timeline directly.
Link: Select the unlinked FLV video and audio, or MP3 audio with the help of "Ctrl" on keyboard, you can link and move them together.
Unlink: You can rip video and audio of the selected FLV clip on Timeline.
Trim Blank: Delete the blank where you right clicked on between clips.
Scissor: By selecting this option, you can cut the clip at where the pointer is.
Undo: Click to resume your previous action on Timeline.
Redo: Click to redo the action which you just resumed by Undo option.
Rename selected clip: Selecting this option, you can rename the selected clip with a name easier recognized.
Delete Selected Clip: Choose to delete the selected clip.
Clear All: Select to delete all clips on Timeline.
- Export FLV
Still there are several ways to export FLV. No matter how many FLV clips are on the Timeline, they will be exported as a single FLV file. If the file on Timeline is an MP3, it will be exported as FLV audio.

Export FLV: Click to launch the export dialog box and you can set export folder, file name, export type, and way to export the FLV.
Export FLV (to FLV to Video Converter Pro 2): Moyea FLV to Video Converter Pro 2 will be launched with the FLV file in list. If the converter is not installed, you will be directed to the site for download. The exported FLV will be placed in folder where you can change by selecting "Option> Preferences".
Export FLV (to Media Library): Moyea YouTube FLV Downloader Library will be launched with the exported FLV in list. Still, the exported FLV will be placed in folder where you can change by selecting "Option> Preferences".
Export SWF: If you choose export SWF that means you can add a control bar on your FLV video.

As you see on the above picture, you can add a player, a preloader and special effects on your SWF. But there are only 3 options in each section of Player skin, Special effects, and Preloader. And you can’t reset navigation on click in Profile section, which means whenever you click on the generated SWF or HTML, you will be directed to Moyea website. (You can get more player skins without logo, more preloader and more special effects with the Ultimate version)
Layout and help
With the option of Window on Main Menu, you can set the FLV editor to show player only, hide Resource, or hide Timeline.
