- How to merge FLV files with a free FLV editor?
- Watching online videos are with a lot of fun. Maybe you like watching videos from some specific video channel on YouTube or other video-sharing sites and would like to get some nice video collections. Here I’d like to show you an easy way to merge your favorite videos into a single video collection so that you needn’t watch them with the annoying breaks. There will be no quality loss to the video and it’s easy but free. The program I’m using is called Moyea FLV Editor Lite.
If you don’t have the FLV files on your computer, you can download it with the free YouTube FLV Downloader.

Here is an easy guide.
1. Go to Capture section and enable “Capture” function (it’s enabled by default).
2. Switch to the browser, and go to the webpage where the FLV video is playing. The downloader will capture the URL.
3. Back to Capture section of the program, select the URL and click download button.
4. And then, you can go to Downloading section to see the downloading process.
5. While done, go to History or Library sections to find the downloaded FLV.
6. Right clicking on the downloaded FLV in the program, you can select to play, edit, or convert the FLV.
7. Selecting Edit, you can launch FLV Editor Lite.
To merge the FLV files, you can download and install the free FLV Editor Lite.

1. Clicking the import buttons red-marked on picture above, you can import the FLV files. For Lite version, you can import at most 5 files. But the Ultimate version is without this limitation and with more powerful functions. You can also import an MP3 file. All files imported will be placed on Resource List. You can double click on a file to play.
2. To edit the file, you can drag it to Timeline from Resource List. And then you can trim, cut, merge, replace audio, add metadata and cue point, and so on. To merge the FLV, you can drag the desired files on Timeline. Right clicking on the blank area between two clips, you will enable the right-click menu. Selecting Trim Blank, you can attach the clips together tightly.
You can also drag the pointer to the right position and click Scissor button to cut.
Trim the video by dragging the edge of a clip.
Select a clip and click Unlink button to rip video and audio.
Select a video and an audio with the help of Ctrl on your keyboard and click Link button to link. And then you can move them together.
To cancel or resume your previous setting, you can click Undo and Redo button or press Ctrl + Z on your keyboard.
No matter how many clips you have placed on Timeline, they will be exported as a single file.
3. To export, you have several selections. You can export FLV, MP3, and SWF. If export MP3, the original FLV audio codec should be MP3. You can also export FLV to your computer, YouTube FLV Downloader Media Library, and FLV to Video Converter Pro 2. If export the FLV to FLV to Video Converter Pro 2, you can convert the video to other formats compatible to your iPod, iPhone, PSP, Zune, Xbox, Pocket PC, etc. It is all rest on you to choose the right way to export.

Have a try and you will find more exiting functions to implement your great ideas to FLV, not only simply merge them.
