MP3 and FLV are two formats that are used frequently in our daily life. You may have a lot of MP3 files on your portable devices or CDs. FLV is a format that is commonly used for online presentation. This article is to tell you how to edit and convert MP3 to FLV without loss of quality for uploading online or playback in FLV player.
Before all, I'd like to simply explain what are MP3 and FLV.
MP3 (Moving Picture Experts Group Audio Layer III) is a digital audio encoding format using a form of lossy data compression. It is commonly used as an audio format for consumer audio storage, and also a de facto standard of digital audio compression for transfer and playback of music on digital audio players. It is designed to greatly reduce the amount of data required to represent the audio recording and still sound like a faithful reproduction of the original uncompressed audio for most listeners.
FLV, short for Flash Video, is a file format used to deliver video over the internet using Adobe Flash Player version 6 and above. It widely used by YouTube, Fox, NBC, Reuters.com, Metacafe, and many other news providers. The format has quickly established itself as the format of choice for embedded video on the web. It is viewable on most operating systems, since as long as there is Adobe Flash Player and web browser plugin installed, it can be played. It also can be played with several third-party programs such as MPlayer, VLC media player, Quicktime, etc. For FLV files on your computer, you can play them with a free player called Moyea FLV Player.

How to embed the FLV and SWF to your website or blog?
The following codes are helpful.
<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" width="320" height="240">
<param name="movie" value="example.swf">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="True" / >
<embed src="example.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="320" height="240" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" allowFullScreen="True">
</embed>
</object>
You can replace the bold part, "example.swf", with your own SWF file, and reset width and height.
The SWF file is for playing the FLV file generated together with this SWF.
Now you have a lossless FLV from MP3. Enjoy it on your website or with your FLV player with more fun.
